Parallel Evolution

Horses and humans have always had a unique relationship. Ever since ancient times, humans and horses have helped each other survive, and like all other domesticated animals, they still help us with everyday lives today. In fact, there have been accounts of horses (sometimes wild) being attracted to humans knowing that humans would often provide for them. It is kind of amazing that two completely separate species have evolved side by side for so many years and are still an integral part of one another’s’ existence.

The thing about horses and humans is that they are one of the many instances of symbiotic relationships that are still seen today. Dogs for example are another species that have been domesticated from wild animals and are now simply part of human life. Horses and other domesticated animals have gotten to the point where wild horses are sort of a rarity.

Amazing biology

Biologically, horses are much different than they were thousands of years ago, and much of this reason is because of being domesticated. Domesticated species have different biology than wild animals, and need much less feral traits in order to survive. And although wild horses still do exist, most are domesticated and much more docile. In time, there may be no wild horses left in the world simply because they are so useful to humans, and say what you want about it, but both species have been crucial to the other species survival. Evolving side by side to make the lives of both species better.

Those that have traveled the countryside know the vast amount of wildlife contained therein. If you are anything like me, you grew up around nature and learned at a young age to appreciate. Now, as an adult, I long for the country and the peace that it brings, along with the wildlife. Fortunately, there is a way to get back to your country roots at an affordable price.

Limo tours through the country offer a way to see the country at an affordable price and a way to experience its beauty without owning property in the country. Limo Canton, for example offers affordable tours through all parts of the Midwest, showing people that you do not need to live in the country in order to experience its beauty. Getting back to nature is what humans crave, and it becomes increasingly harder as people grow up.

A unique experience

What I have found from my newfound love for limo tours is that the country offers so much more than I remember. Now, where there used to be expanses of land, are rich crops and wine countries that can offer a million different things to do for anyone on any budget. The limo allows you to enjoy the countryside to the fullest while giving you a guided tour through all that it has to offer.

Perhaps growing up means getting away from nature, but humans are best suited for nature. The best way to get back to that is through guided limo tours in your favorite part of the country. No matter who you are, the best way to reconnect with nature is at your own leisure and at an affordable price. It may not always be easy to get to the country, but with guided limo tours, you always have a ride.

There has long been a commonly accepted term that dogs are man’s best friend. However, if we look at it in a historical context, there is no question that the horse is man’s best friend. No other animal has affected the human race as much as the horse. No matter the culture, whenever horses were present, they were used b humans to complete a number of tasks.

Not only have horses been drawn to humans for their tendency to provide for them, they have also given people large advantages not only over other people, but the environment as well. Horses are without a doubt the most important animal to the advancement of the human race, which is impressive considering how they were once all wild.

The relationship today

Today, horses still give us a number of advantages over our environment and are used for a number of purposes, but it is not as prevalent as it once was. However, there is no debate that without horses, we would not be the society that we are today. Because of our evolution together, horses will likely always be a crucial part of what makes us human. And as the years pass and technology evolves, horses will always be part of what got us here.

Entertainment, labor, and companionship, horses fulfill all of these requirements, making them man’s best friend and crucial to human existence. Never should we forget what horses have done for us and it is our responsibility to protect them.

Caring for a horse

Horses are beautiful, majestic creatures that have a long-standing relationship with humans, Many people have horses as pets and know the importance of maintaining the horse’s mane and physical appearance. One of the most beautiful features on a horse is their long-flowing mane. Made of fine hair, the mane is often a staple of a horse’s beauty.

In addition to the mane, there are a number of things that must be considered. Horses, while able to survive in harsh environments, must be cleaned in order to maintain optimal health. Because of this, they should be brushed at least once a day, preferably more, in order to keep hair untangled and get rid of any insects or parasites that may be on the horse.

Additional steps

In addition to brushing your horse regularly, it is important to make sure that the horse has access to shade. For the most part, horses can spend long periods of time outdoors with little care, but may require shade once in awhile. As large animals, horses need a lot of water, and if there is no shade, they may find themselves losing more water than they can consume.

By following these steps, it becomes easier to care for your horse and allow them to maintain their optimal health. Unlike other pets, horses require a large amount of care, and attention. But also unlike other pets, the benefits of horses can far outweigh that of any common house pet. Care for your horse and it will care for you.

Wild horses

Horses have been part of the United States since before it was called the United States. North America had a number of breeds of wild horse, that were primarily caught and tamed by the Native Americans. After the Spanish came over in search of riches and land, the two fought for centuries before British Explorers came to the colonies in search of the same.

Upon their arrival, the Spanish brought their own stock of horses which they used for mounted combat. During this time, much of the Native Americans lost great deals of their population as colonial Europe continued to spread. Eventually, there were only a few Native Americans left, and consequently, only a few native American mustangs.

Wild horses in the US today

Today, there are only a few states with large herds of while horses. Most of the herds are a mix between the few remaining wild horses native to North America and stock brought over by the Spanish. There are a few states with large reserves, but basically no roaming herds of wild horses outside of these few protected areas. In some place, it is legal to own a wild mustang, but for the most part they are protected by the federal government.

Through the rich history of native inhabitants and the influx of settlers, the wild horses of America are a beautiful, yet endangered breed worth of protection. In time, the hope is that these protected species will once again roam our prairies.
